RAIDA system upgrade to add efficiency, security

The RAIDA network is being upgraded to HTTP/3. The upgrade is expected to reduce latency by 200ms and decrease the amount of raw data that needs to be transferred. The changes will also add advanced encryption standard (AES) inside of secure sockets layer (SSL), which will make the system much more secure.

CloudCoin up 30% during past month

CloudCoin has been buoyed along with most of the digital currency market during the past month, with CCE up 30% over the past 30 days. This puts CloudCoin in the top 20 of established currencies over the last 30 days, outperforming coins like Aave (+18%), Chainlink (+15%) and Ethereum Classic (+12%).

CloudCoin founder Sean Worthington invited readers to support the work done by Consortium programmers and developers on GitHub. The number of sponsors has remained steady at approximately 30 people.  As Sean previously shared, sponsorship plays an integral role in allowing the Consortium to grow and develop. Some of the ongoing objectives of the Consortium are: to complete the task of becoming chartered as a Swiss verein (non-profit association); to be listed on more exchanges; and to continue to raise awareness about CloudCoin and RAIDA. Happy Birthday, Donald Knuth

Sunday, Jan. 10, will be the 83rd birthday of computer pioneer and Turing Award winner Donald Knuth. Knuth has been called the "father of the analysis of algorithms." He authored a widely used textbook series, The Art of Computer Programming, which has appeared as several volumes from 1968-2019 (with more planned). He was the 1974 recipient of the A.M. Turing Award. Knuth has taught at Stanford University since 1969, where he remains Professor Emeritus.
