Reader Dzenan M. of Prijedor, Bosnia-Herzegovina writes, "How is CloudCoin different from blockchain technology and why not use blockchain?"
Thanks for reading!
CloudCoin uses unique patent-pending Redundant Array of Independent Detection Agents ( RAIDA ) technology to accomplish the same goal as the blockchain (what computer scientists call 'physical integrity'--meaning digital sequences can't be copied, counterfeited or double-spent).
RAIDA does not rely on cumbersome, inefficient encryption. Instead, it uses redundancy and distributed authenticity protocols. This makes CloudCoin easier, safer and more private to store, use and transfer. There is no public ledger and no user accounts--the CloudCoins themselves are the accounts!
RAIDA is scalable and blockchain is not. The size of the blockchain of most currencies like Bitcoin (165 gigabytes and growing) will soon make it impossible for most consumers to use and transaction confirmation times could end up taking months.
